My newest work is a psychological suspense/horror novel set in Louisiana. Its release date will be early 2025.
My true love has always been science fiction, so I started on a new writing adventure with a futuristic, post-apocalyptic scifi story set in New England and Canada. The older YA/adult Echoes trilogy has won several awards including International Book Awards Finalist, IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards Silver and Finalist, Next Generation Indie Book Awards Finalist (for Scifi and LGBTQ+), National Indie Excellence Awards Finalist, Readers’ Favorite Finalist, Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Finalist, American Fiction Awards Finalist, and Eric Hoffer Finalist.
I got my start with writing in high school, and while in college, I joined a couple of writing groups where we created Star Trek fan fiction. At that time, writing was only a hobby, but I learned volumes from the excellent writers also in the groups. I eventually got an idea for a science fiction novel that instead morphed into a fantasy novel. After many starts and stops, I completed and released the first novel in my YA fantasy Burnt Mountain series in 2013. It was supposed to be one novel; it turned into an award-winning five-book series.
